Description:

The University of Minnesota Fleet Services Building includes a maintenance and repair facility, indoor vehicle storage, offices, car wash and fuel island. The maintenance and repair area is 11,200 sq. ft. and includes six light duty and two heavy duty repair bays. There are three light duty hoists, an alignment rack and a 50,000-pound hoist. There is an indoor wash facility for medium and heavy-duty trucks. The maintenance and repair area also includes shop offices, parts storage and a mezzanine for long term storage. The car wash is an automated facility that will be able to handle all cars and light duty trucks and vans, even with racks and equipment. The wash is of the touchless variety with a dryer. Included is an indoor area for final cleanup and detailing. The indoor vehicle storage area will have room for 24 vehicles. The office will be about 3,300 sq. ft. The canopied fuel island supplies unleaded, diesel and ethanol fuel.

The fuel island on the St. Paul campus went through a remodeling at the same time. A new tank supplying ethanol fuel was added as well as new pumps and a canopy.
