Description:
This project is a multi-phased remodeling of Henry Sibley High School. The majority of the work on this project takes place during the summer months when school is not in session. The first phase involves 5 different sub-phases that include: re-roofing of about 40,000 SF of the building and replacement of all cap flashing at parapet walls; demolition and remodeling of approximately 35,000 SF of classroom/office space on level 3 of the school; major upgrades of the mechanical systems in the penthouse, roof and level 3; reclaiming and resurfacing of all the parking lots, demo and reinstallation of curb, gutter, sidewalks and landscaping; remodeling the ISD # 197 Server Room; and a 6,300 SF addition to the cafeteria, and addition of a fitness area. The second phase will begin in the spring of 2007 and involves the remodeling of the majority of the level 2 as well as an office area on level 3; this phase also includes the remodeling of the existing cafeteria. The third phase begins in the spring of 2008 and remodels the majority of level 1 of the building and remodeling of the ISD # 197 offices on all three levels.
