Description:
In February of 1999, Shaw-Lundquist began renovation of the University of Minnesota's Amundson Hall. As home to one of the top-ranked Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Research departments in the world, the demands on Amundson Hall exceeded the building's space and facilitles. Working closely with architects Symmes, Mam and McKee Associates, Shaw-Lundquist renovated the building's existing laboratories in the Mines and Metallurgy wing of the building. The construction of a new addition, the Piercy Wing, was completed in September of 1999.
