Description:
In November of 1998, Shaw-Lundquist completed the addition to the main
entryway of the East Bank's Gibson Nagurski Football Complex. The 2,600 square foot space houses the University Men's Athletics Hall of Fame, Gophers Sports Showcase as well as trophies, banners and photographs. The lower level of the complex was remodeled to accommodate nine coaching classrooms and one Pro-Scout office. Site work included new driveways and landscaping to enhance this dramatic addition. In addition to the entryway, Shaw-Lundquist remodeled the Bierman Gym. This included renovation of the basketball gymnasium and construction of a new weight room, complete with a 12,000 SF mezzanine for a fully-functional weight training center. In addition, the existing weight room in the Gibson facility was remodeled for state-of-the-art instructional and office space.
