Minneapolis, Minnesota, Wednesday, April 25, 2007 -- The Twin Cities International Citizen Awards Host and Steering Committee awarded Fred Shaw the 2007 International Immigrant Achievement Award. The Annual Gala Awards event was held Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Minneapolis Club where Mr. Shaw was be honored alongside Walter & Joan Mondale (International Citizens Award) and Marilyn Carlson of the Carlson Companies (International Corporate Award).
Founded in 1992, the Twin Cities International Citizen Awards recognize individuals and corporations in our community who have made inspiring contributions to international understanding, cooperation and mutual respect. It is given to those that have made clear and exemplary contributions to local and global communities; demonstrate a strong commitment to international understanding and cooperation; and live out mutuality and respect in relation with other countries and peoples.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Shaw thanked his Father, the People of Minnesota, Orville E. Madsen, Lyle Lundquist, Tom Meyers and John Sjoberg, Hoyt Hsiao, and his wife Jennie Hsiao for all the support and loyalty they have shown him. Without them, he would not be where he is today.

Minneapolis, Minnesota, Wednesday, April 11, 2007 -- The Minnesota Minority Supplier Development Council awarded Shaw-Lundquist Associates, Inc. their Supplier of the Year Award. This award recognizes certified minority suppliers who have distinguished themselves and their businesses by:
• successfully demonstrating growth in sales and employment while overcoming significant obstacles;
• consistently providing high quality products and services at competitive prices, offering innovative approaches, and cost-saving ideas;
• continuously growing MBE to MBE purchases; and
• significantly contributing to the growth and development of society and their community.
The Award was given in each of four categories: Class One for companies with annual sales of less that $1 million, Class Two for annual sales between $1 million and $10 million; Class Three for annual sales between $10 million and $50 million; and Class Four for annual sales greater than $50 million.
Shaw-Lundquist was the Class Four winner.
